On Sunday, 15th December we decided to do something a little different. Something that not many Accountants would even think about doing… We rented The Wellington Orbit one Sunday evening for a private cinema screening of a Christmas classic, Home Alone, in aid of The Harry Johnson Trust.
We were joined by colleagues, friends and family, who were quick to purchase the tickets, selling out the 63 seat cinema screen in just a few days!
The Harry Johnson Trust
This year, we have focused our fundraising events, such as this private cinema screening and our pub quiz, on The Harry Johnson Trust.
Based in Shrewsbury, The Harry Johnson Trust supports children and teenagers with cancer, who are receiving care from the Oncology Team at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. A charity that we are very passionate about here at ChadStone.
We are so pleased to announce that during the evening we raised £345.90 in total!
A massive thank you to everyone who came along to join in the festivities and donated to such a wonderful charity: Ian Bowker and family, Joel & Hannah Stone, Andy Rao and family, Rebecca Ainsworth and family, Hannah Thackeray and family, Marcus Delves and family, Will & Lesley Stone, Kate & Chris Stubley along with most of the ChadStone team who brought family members along.
What A Festive Feeling
“We really enjoyed the private cinema evening – it was great to see one of our childhood favourites on the big screen! We were really pleased to be able to raise money for such a fantastic cause and it was a lovely way to do it. There was a real buzz around the cinema, it was great to see people enjoying quality family time. Everybody left feeling very Christmassy.” – Dave Leddington
We’d like to say a special thank you to the Wellington Orbit for allowing us to go ahead with the private cinema screening and being so welcoming during the evening.
We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year, from all of us at ChadStone.
